What If You Feel Lonely When You Are Alone?

What if you feel lonely when you are alone?

If you feel lonely when you are alone, you are in bad company. Why do we tend to avoid seclusion? Why do so many of us want to have people around all the time? There are people who are alone at all costs and avoid loneliness.

They make thousands of plans so that they always have something to do and are afraid of feeling lonely. They don’t want to get stuck in the silence with themselves and feel a huge urge to be with others. All this so that they don’t have to face themselves and the silence.

However, you can learn a lot from seclusion. It can teach you to overcome certain things, such as your fears. It can help you achieve things. In fact, learning to tolerate “being alone” can take you even further than any company. You just have to know where to look for the educational elements.

The bitterest part of seclusion is feeling unloved, protected, or valued. Choosing seclusion doesn’t necessarily give you the best feeling, but it can help you grow enormously.

The only voice you hear when you’re alone is your internal dialogue

Isolation is a strong building block for your mind and spirit. So use it as a means to enable your personal growth. When you are alone, the only voice you hear is your own. It’s the internal dialogue that often makes you feel uncomfortable.

You may have been trying to make it disappear in a sea of noise and other people for as long as you can remember. It’s not really the loneliness that scares you, but what you have to say to yourself.

Feeling lonely

Being alone is like a diet for your mind. No matter how still and light your mind is, it is and remains one of the most amazing powers you have. This should therefore be fed, and you can do that by separating yourself from time to time. Being alone is a natural thing for us humans.

It’s a fundamental part of who we are. We all enter this world on our own and we will leave the world in the same way.

You will not find anything in the solitude that is not already in you. That’s why moments are only the best opportunities to get to know yourself better. Knowing how to listen to yourself is the best cure for the fear of being alone.

The first thing you will need to do to achieve a healthy internal dialogue is to understand and value yourself. Listening, accepting and acknowledging what you have to say to yourself  opens the door to a warm place where you will feel protected.

If you feel lonely, remember that solitude is the one thing that will never leave you

Seclusion is the one thing that will never leave you. This sentence suggests a certain kind of irony, of course, but also an uncomfortable truth. Each of us has felt abandoned at one point or another.

That has forced us to embrace a deep, painful independence. When you have nowhere to go, this independence will always catch you.

Seclusion is the best companionship you will ever find. If you choose this of your own volition, you can use it to manage and organize everything you think and feel.

Someone on her own

We all think that being an adult means being independent and not needing anyone. However, the quest for that independence can bring you a lot of suffering. That’s why almost everyone at some point feels like they’re breaking down under the weight of loneliness.

It is important to remember that  when you are feeling lonely, unprotected and abandoned, you should be alone with yourself. This is when you need to grab yourself tight. Embrace yourself until you feel like you are truly “together” with yourself. This is one of life’s greatest, most beautiful ironies.
